When you look back on the E9X generation M3, you begin to think about all of the great things we have lost in the constant pursuit of progress. Newer M3s are astoundingly fast and capable, with their turbocharged inline-6 engines, seamless power is available throughout the rev range and thanks to modern tech, they are easier than ever to drive quickly. With slick shifting DCT gearboxes or manuals with automatic rev-matching, the skill and involvement is reduced in favor of better lap times. For some, that is exactly the kind of car they seek but for others, an exciting car with a high revving naturally aspirated engine and a tight 6-speed manual transmission are exactly what they are looking for. The E9X M3 is that car-with a 4.4-Liter V8, the engine can spin all the way to 8,400RPM with outstanding throttle response from 8 individual throttle bodies and sounds outstanding while doing it. When optioned with a manual transmission, the car has 3 pedals, perfectly placed for heel toe shifting and a 6-speed with satisfying throws that reward every shift and encourage you to shift more and drive faster. This 2013 E92 M3 Competition is a fantastic example, finished in Interlagos Blue over a black leather interior. With just 44,589 miles on it from new, this car has been exceptionally well kept from new and was treated to a number of modifications that do wonders to enhance the driving experience. To tighten up the suspension on this M3, a set of KW V3 coilovers with EDC delete were installed and give the car a great stance as well as a greater ability to dial in the suspension to the kind of driving you will be doing. An Ultimate Clutch Pedal was installed which offers greater control over clutch modulation and allows for faster shifts and an Alcantara shift boot gives the shifter a higher-end look and feel. On the interior, the black leather is highlighted by an M Performance steering wheel and Auto-Tecknic Carbon fiber center console. In front, a GTS carbon fiber splitter looks great against the Interlagos Blue paint yet is subtle and subdued. Even 9 years after it left the showroom, this BMW M3 is in outstanding condition and will bring a smile to the face of anybody behind the wheel.
